Dr. O\u2019Regan is the division head of hematology, medical oncology, and palliative care in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health; and associate director for clinical research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.<span id=\"more-5290\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3436\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bigtencrc.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/ruth-oregan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"190\" \/>The Big Ten CRC announced Dr. O\u2019Regan\u2019s appointment today during the consortium\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bigtencrc.org\/summit\/\">annual Summit<\/a>\u00a0at Big Ten Conference headquarters in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur commitment to advancing innovative new cancer treatments for our patients is helped tremendously by the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium,\u201d said Howard Bailey, MD, director, University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. \u201cHaving one of our own lead all the Big Ten cancer centers in this endeavor is a noteworthy accomplishment.
