{"id":6786,"date":"2018-04-16T15:51:39","date_gmt":"2018-04-16T20:51:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cancer.wisc.edu\/research\/?p=6786"},"modified":"2018-05-17T15:56:41","modified_gmt":"2018-05-17T20:56:41","slug":"uw-carbone-scientists-to-present-at-annual-cancer-research-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwtest.cancer.wisc.edu\/research\/uw-carbone-scientists-to-present-at-annual-cancer-research-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"UW Carbone Scientists to Present at Annual Cancer Research Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"editorial-content__intro\">\n<p>As cancer researchers from across the country descend on Chicago this week\u00a0for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aacr.org\/Meetings\/Pages\/MeetingDetail.aspx?EventItemID=136#.Ws4iLy7wbIU\">American Association of Cancer Research\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0annual conference, University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center faculty, staff and students are among them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>All told, over 60 UW Carbone researchers will present their work, with dozens more attending to learn about current advances in understanding and developing treatments for cancer.<\/p>\n<p>One of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wwwtest.cancer.wisc.edu\/research\/\">UW Carbone Cancer Center<\/a>\u00a0members presenting is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wid.wisc.edu\/people\/peter-lewis\/\">Peter Lewis, PhD<\/a>,\u00a0of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wid.wisc.edu\/\">Wisconsin Institute for Discovery<\/a>.
