UW Madison Postdoctoral Research Symposium
September 19, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 5:30 pm
FreeOpportunity for postdocs to share work, foster collaborations and build community
The 4th Annual UW–Madison Postdoctoral Research Symposium will be held Thursday, September 19 from 11:30 am – 5:30 pm at the Genetics-Biotech Center Auditorium. Organized during the National Postdoc Appreciation week, the symposium offers a venue for postdocs to share their work with others and foster new collaborations. This year the symposium will include keynote speaker Professor Angela Byars-Winston from the Department of Medicine, a panel about nonacademic career paths for postdocs, and the return of the 5-minute Blitz Talk competition.
The Blitz Talk competition is open to postdocs from all disciplines. The winner will receive a grant for future conference travel. Blitz talk abstracts are due by 6 PM on Friday, August 16th. Those selected will prepare a 5-minute research talk designed to engage a general audience. This is a great opportunity to share your work, foster collaborations, and hone communication skills. Submit abstracts here. Contact Jessica Kelliher (jlkelliher@wisc.edu) with questions.
