International Day of Giving

#GivingCarbone is the UW Carbone’s campaign to raise money for cancer research as part of #GivingTuesday on November 28, the international day of giving.

During our 2016 #GivingCarbone season, more than $69,000 was raised. These donations funded a new pancreatic cancer pilot project led by Dr. Kevin Eliceiri, Director of the Laboratory for Optical and Computation Instrumentation at the University of Wisconsin. Most of this funding was collected through the generous efforts of the Nickols family – who raised a total of $51,922 for pancreatic cancer research during last year’s #GivingCarbone campaign.
